Return To District Model
At time when program quality, accountability, legal compliance and cost effectiveness are critical factors in educational development, Columbus can assist school districts to plan and implement a Return to District project. These projects allow districts to reduce costs and enhance services by returning students to their home district from non-public school placements.
The Return to District project is based on a master plan developed between the district and a Columbus team of noted education leaders. This plan provides timelines for all tasks, identifies evidence based practices, establishes a budget, recruits highly qualified teachers and support personnel, and defines evaluation criteria. Additionally, Columbus provides an on-site project manager and assigns a senior educational consultant to assist in executing the plan. This comprehensive approach builds both program success and staff capacity.
